On May 31, 2024, the artists from DRIFT presented a unique open-air performance at the Parc des Ateliers, featuring drones and evoking Vincent van Gogh's "Starry Night" (1888), a masterpiece exceptionally exhibited at the Vincent van Gogh Foundation in Arles from June 1 to August 26, 2024.

Titled Electric Sky, the performance used cutting-edge technologies to create remarkable visuals in the evening sky above Arles, creating images unbound by gravity while referencing the light and textures that mark the unique conditions of Arles, its reality and essence, qualities that have inspired artistic production across history.

The event was the highlight of the opening of the exhibition Living Landscape.

The LUMA project by Maja Hoffmann

The ambition to produce visionary and experimental artistic projects lies at the heart of the LUMA project.
Maja Hoffmann discusses the beginning of LUMA's development and its evolution, unfolding at the same time as her personal connection to Arles, the region of the Camargue, and the cultural and natural context of which LUMA is a part.
