Writer, curator and publisher
Benjamin Thorel is a writer, curator, publisher, and one of the founders of the Paris-based publishing house and bookstore After 8 Books. He regularly teaches, organizes, and participates in workshops and seminars about books and publishing practices in contemporary art. He has edited publications about the work of artists such as Neïl Beloufa, David Douard, and Piero Heliczer; he is also the co-editor, with Charlotte Houette and François Lancien-Guilberteau, of Faux Pas: Selected Writings and Drawings by Amy Sillman, published by After 8 Books. In 2022, he curated a French edition of Dial-A-Poem, in collaboration with the John Giorno Foundation, New York.
