Henri Maquet
Polyinstrumentalist, musicologist, ethnomusicologist, violin maker, composer, teacher, singer, organizer of festivals and meetings... Henri Maquet is a versatile musician from all walks of life, at the service of a lively and biodynamic culture. Raised in the musicological sources and popular repertoires of the Pays d'Oc, he distils his creativity through the paths of research, empiricism and spontaneity. Since 1994, he has been presenting his work on stages with various creations and formations, including, among others: Ventadis, Mont-Joia, Duo Maquet Bachevalier, Pagan, Projet Caitos, Talabrène, Collectif Tapenade, Polyphonic System, Bal Pop Tronic (Freesson collective), with Benjamin Mélia and Claude Guerre... also as a soloist, with or without sample and effect loops. He has three albums to his credit: Li tambourado de l'Amour de Th. Aubanel, Terraire Nòu, #1, as well as two festivals: ZinZan, Le Chant du Roseau.
