In the recent unfamiliar circumstances of total lock down due to the health crisis, Maja Hoffmann and Hans Ulrich Obrist look back on the starting point of the It’s Urgent! exhibition. When time stops and the world is at a standstill, what could the concerns be? How have artists reacted to this issue? In what world are we living now?

The It’s Urgent! project began in 2019 in Denmark and gathered over 115 artists around the question "What is urgent in our time?".

Themes such as ecology, inequality, common future, solidarity, anti-racism and social justice were addressed, among many others.
