"Corps couleurs" workshop
Dance and textile in the contemporary art
As part of the exhibition Though It’s Dark, Still I Sing: Works from the 34th Bienal of São Paulo, LUMA Arles offered, in collaboration with Atelier Saugrenu, an educational workshop adressing both dance and textiles in the contemporary art. Conceived as a bodily experience in movement and color, this workshop revolved around the work of two artists in the exhibition: the Brazilian performer Hélio Oiticica and his “parangolés”, and the Israeli choreographer Noa Eshkol. Participants were invited to compose their own costumes and perform in the space, exploring body language as a form of expression and emotion.
