Until the 1970s, the narratives that accompanied scientific and technical developments made science the main vector of "a century of progress". When we leave the narrative of a "triumphant science" and look at the content of the emerging sciences, we observe numerous divergences both within scientific arenas and in society. Since the 1980s, a trend of controversy analysis has emerged and become a genre in its own right. In this video, Nicolas Benvegnu gives his personal testimony on controversy analysis exercises, a practice he has been teaching for the past few years in French high schools and higher education institutions.
