Caroline Bernard

Caroline Bernard holds a PhD in Aesthetics, Sciences and Technologies of the Arts, with a specialization in Visual Arts and Photography, from Université Paris 8. An artist and educator, she has taught at the École nationale supérieure de la photographie since 2015, where she directs the Prospectives de l’image research laboratory.

Formerly a research associate at the Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD) in Switzerland, she has also taught at the School of Applied Arts (CEPV) in Vevey, Switzerland, since 2007. She is also an Associate Professor at the School of Visual and Media Arts (EAVM) at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in Canada.
