Lucid Intervals: Cells
- Cinema
- Free, upon booking
One weekend per month, from October, 2026 to April, 2027, LUMA Arles offers a series of screenings followed by discussions at the Parc des Ateliers, with free admission. Screenings specially designed for young audiences are part of the program.
Focusing on a different theme each month, these sessions are part of a proposal that also includes exchanges with speakers, researchers, filmmakers, and the audience, on how these films contribute to changing our perceptions.

- Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.: The Blob: A Genius Without a Brain by Jacques Mitsch
This November program explores the cell in three very different ways: spreading a global pandemic in Soderbergh’s world, learning without a brain in Jacques Mitsch’s investigation of the mysterious blob, and coming to life as animated characters on a journey through the human body for younger audiences. From microscopic life to global consequences, each film offers a different perspective on this fundamental building block of life.
