Offprint brings together independent publishers, designers, artists, and editors whose practices shape contemporary publishing. Focused on experimental print practices and critical editorial approaches, it presents the book as a space where images, ideas, and research acquire form, sequence, and duration. In a context marked by the rapid circulation of digital images, Offprint foregrounds publishing as a material, collective, and reflective practice.
Through selected publications, presentations, and workshops, Offprint highlights publishing as both an artistic medium and a platform for thought. It gives visibility to the networks, methods, and communities that sustain independent printed matter, from artists’ books and magazines to experimental editions and research-based projects.
This summer, Offprint at LUMA Arles welcomes Atelier Quintal, a Paris-based printing and publishing workshop dedicated to risograph printing, whose public bookstore in the 20th arrondissement extends its commitment to accessible, experimental publishing. At LUMA Arles, Offprint and Atelier Quintal create a meeting point for those who produce, question, and disseminate visual culture, affirming publishing as a living force within contemporary artistic practice.
