Realities of Science Fiction II

For its second edition, Realities of Science Fiction II explored Afrofuturisms, Indigenous knowledge systems, and science fiction as a form of resistance.

Bringing together practitioners from the fields of science, film, literature, and the visual arts, the symposium examined contemporary science fiction imaginaries through performances and conversations. Building on its inaugural 2021 edition, the program investigated the intersections of fiction and reality, dreams, multiple temporalities, Indigenous cosmologies, and Black futurities.
