    What World Are We Living in Now? (Chapter 1/5)

    In this first chapter, Michel Bauwens shares his perspective on the Covid-19 crisis, arguing that the transformation of an entire society never results from a single event alone, but from long-term structural shifts.

    In this conversation, Michel Bauwens—a Belgian theorist and activist known for his work on the commons, peer production, governance, and collaborative ownership—explores five themes related to the Covid-19 crisis. Described as both a "great revealer" and a "great accelerator," the pandemic serves as a starting point for reflecting on an economy that serves the commons and is built around contributions to shared resources. The discussion also addresses questions of scale, governance, mediation, and how to create a more sustainable long-term balance.
