    Nine notions of the metasystemic

    In this video, Paul Graham Raven, a postdoctoral researcher at Lund University in Sweden, examines the infrastructural reconfigurations that may shape possible futures in the Anthropocene. Introducing nine metasystemic concepts, he offers an overview of neoliberal infrastructure and the complex geography through which it operates in a post-Covid world.

    Throughout the talk, Raven questions the trajectory of technological development and the collusion between digital platforms, arguing that they enable infrastructures to entrench and reproduce existing hierarchies, unlike open protocols. He also reflects on ongoing socioeconomic change and considers both the role and the limitations of artists and thinkers in responding to these transformations.
