LUMA Days #4 Joins the First Edition of the Agir pour le vivant Festival
LUMA Days partnered with Agir pour le vivant for a series of lunch conversations held during the festival, from August 24 to 30, 2020, at the Nord-Pinus, one of Arles’s legendary hotels. On this occasion, festival guests were invited to take part in a series of conversations exploring questions of transition, the crisis of imagination, new geographies, and responsibility.
Drawing on her study of African thinkers, philosopher Séverine Kodjo-Grandvaux proposes an epistemic break with the Western model of civilization, in which humans place themselves outside and above the living world. She invites us to deconstruct the concepts of transition, borders, territory, and the living world, as well as the political mechanisms that govern them.
