    The Time of Dreams, the Time of Myths

    What happens when the elemental forces we believed we had mastered begin to make themselves felt once again? Drawing on her anthropological work with Indigenous communities, Nastassja Martin examines the narratives, myths, and cosmologies that help us make sense of a world shaped by climatic transformations.

    From wildfires to storms, floods to earthquakes, this presentation explores how different traditions understand the relationships between humans and earthly forces. In the face of phenomena that modernity has long reduced to mere “resources,” she invites us to rethink the ties that connect us to the living world and to the forces that make life on Earth possible.
