What does the rise of artificial intelligence reveal about contemporary forms of power? Drawing on the concept of “vectorfascism,” artist Grégory Chatonsky reflects on the transformations of fascism in an age shaped by networks, algorithms, and latent spaces.
Drawing on the logics of machine learning, attention economies, and the transformations of digital environments, he examines how computational technologies are redefining the relationships between truth, affect, memory, and power. From the role of digital platforms to the reconfiguration of cultural institutions and historical narratives, this presentation explores the new forms of optimization that increasingly shape both human societies and natural environments.
Through the concept of vectorfascism, Chatonsky also investigates the connections between artificial intelligence, ecological crisis, algorithmic governance, and contemporary political imaginaries, while opening up the possibility of alternative relationships with technology grounded in finitude, forgetting, and unlearning.
